MY LAST POST !!!!!! OMG

So this is the time to get all nostalgic about this month.

July 2009. The 6th I arrived in London with my dad. I had taken the Eurostar from Brussels at 7 am. So I was very very tired. Then from King's Cross we took the train to Potter's Bar. And then after a 10 minute long cab ride, I was there, I was at Queenswood ! I got registered in the office and I went to my room. I unpacked my two suitcases and then I just went to bed, because I had woken up at 5 am !!!! So you can just imagine how tired I was then !

I think I had only been sleeping for about 30 minutes, when I heard a knock on the door, and in came "Paloma". I aldready knew I would have her as a room mate, because her name was on the door next to mine. I was still half asleep, but I sat up in my bed to say hello and introduce myself. Then I just went back to sleep.

Later Paloma told me that she thought I was looking at her, while she was unpacking, even though I was actually just sleeping. Poor girl, she thought I was some kind of freaky stalker girl. But she soon found out that I was just a nice girl, who was gonna make her stay at Queenswood MUCH better :D.

Then we met JOY ! Crazy, energetic, all over the place- girl. She was fun, outgoing and really friendly. We stayed with her the two first weeks, with her brother Clement and some other people, like this german boy, Christopher. They were all very nice, and I was soooo sad when they left !

Then the two next weeks were also really great! My best friend, Ines, came too. And then Elisa, a Belgian girl, started hanging out with us too. She's leaving today, so that's gonna be really sad too.

I still haven't realised that on Saturday it'll all be over. It's just been a great summer for me. Even with all the strict rules of Queenswood, and the getting up early and the house parents telling us to be quiet after 11 and go to sleep. I've really enjoyed it, because of all the great people.

So I really just wanna say thanks to all these people who have been around to make every day much better. They mean a lot too me, just for the short period of time they were here, I feel like I already got to know them pretty well. It really warms my heart to meet nice people like the ones I've met. And I will never forget them, and I sure hope to see them again in the future.

I'll go to France to visit Naomi, I'll go to Turkey to visit Zeynep and Merve, I'll go to Madrid to visit Paloma and I'll go to Italy to visit Sofia and Tommaso... And there are just soooo many other places I could go to, to meet people !!!

Thanks to all the nice students, the brilliant teachers and all the other people.

You've turned this month into a month I don't want to ever forget !

The task of today . . .

Life now vs Life in the 16th century.

My life would be very different from how it is today. I wouldn't travel the world, I wouldn't listen to music on my iPod and I wouldn't have internet !!!!! The internet might be very annoying from time to time, when it doesn't work. But I really can't imagine life without it now! I've gotten so used to having it. And life is just so much easier now. You can get in contact with people in just a split second, by using your phone or the internet. Imagine if you either had to write a letter to a person every time you wanted to say something to them or you had to walk all the way to them to talk to them !!! I would probably have no social life at all, cause I'd just be far too lazy !

And as if that's not enough to live without. I would have to live without showers everyday ! And with the knowledge that I'd probably only live until the age of 35 or so !!!! That's both gross and depressing!

I like my life as it is now, and I wouldn't wanna exchange it with a life in the 16th century for ANYTHING !

I'm staying here in this time in 2009 ! :D

The week-end

SHOPPING !!! :D

Shopping makes me happy even when the weather is bad. But this Saturday I didn't shop a lot. So I'm very proud of myself for not spending too much money, like the other shopping days :D. I only bought 3 things ! ON SALE !!!!

THORPE PARK !!! :D

It was soooo much fun (Again). But this time we tried some new things, and they were really really cool, and so fast and so much fun ! We ate the super sandwiches while we waited in the looooooong queue. And then we ate ICE CREAM!!! From Ben&Jerry's, Really niiiicee !!

But I miss Sofia, Merve and Zeynep. They all left me here in Queenswood on Saturday ! :(

I guess I have to update my blog...

Well... I'm really in a huge lack of inspiration right now.

But I guess I can find something to write about.... Like... The weather maybe ??

The weather is really bad today, it's raining at the moment. And I really hate it, when the weather is so bad! It really doesn't give you any reason to be happy. And normally I'm a really happy person, you know. I smile a lot. But it's easier to smile when the sun is shining !
This is what I want: I want the happy faces and I want the sunshine !!!

After two weeks

Saturday was a sad day! Half the people we've been spending all our time with these last two weeks left. And we, the people who're staying for another two weeks, had to leave to go to cambridge, BEFORE the others left. So we said goodbye and then we got on a bus, while the others were waving as we drove off !
I miss them, and I keep seeing theire faces here at Queenswood, eventhough they are long gone.
But I'm making new friends, it's just a bit hard, it's almost like starting over again, I have to introduce myself I don't know how many times a day and small talk with a lot of different people.
I guess that's part of the whole experience here, making new friends, but having to say goodbye to them half way through...

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle!

I mostly wanted to see the doll house of Queen Mary at Windsor castle. So we went to see that, and it was very impressive and pretty. It's such a pretty house, so many details, I was amazed by it!

I would have done anything to have a doll house like this one, when I was a kid! I did have a pretty nice Barbie house though, so I can't really complain, but I'll complain anyway :D. I wanted a doll house like this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we saw the Queen's guards, which was quite nice, but nothing major. It was more impressive to see it at Buckingham Palace to see the change of the guards.

It's a nice day today.

I'm still dead tired, because we went to the cinema yesterday, so we got home at 23.45, because we had to wait for some guy i don't even know, who apparently got lost. I must be honest, I don't even know if we found him before we took the bus home... We saw Transformers, while all the other (stupid) people went bowling, which is really truly boring.
Transformers was okay, i mean it was most definitely not the best movie I've ever seen. But it did make me laugh quite a bit and i did have tears in my eye ( BUT, i did NOT cry :O ). A little bit too much action for my taste, but i still liked it.
So today is a nice day because it's Wednesday... :P I'm trying to stay awake during the lessons, but I'm mostly looking forward to lunch, and then I'm gonna watch a movie in the common room and just relax. I need my energy back ASAP !!
:D
